Meme: Why do I do this?

Mikey has tagged me with the "Three reasons why I blog" meme.

Rulz. There is always da rulz:

Let us begin. In no particular order:

1) I have so much crap running around in my head that I like to get it out. Once upon a time I used to torture my friends with emails and rants about things that annoyed or amused, and while I still do that (albeit a lot less) I find it easy to just get it out on the blog and they can read it or choose not to. Plus, this is a way for those friends who I don't get to see very often to dip their toes into the experience that is knowing me. Of course, sometimes friends will greet me with, "I didn't know you [insert random fact they read on the blog here]." And, unsuspecting strangers and bloggy friends can spend time in my brain too, should they so choose.

2) I like to write. Granted, I don't always do it very well, and I certainly don't pick up on all my (numerous) spelling and grammar mistakes, nor do I see all the typos, but it does allow me to write. I find that I write and think better at a computer than I do when I have pen and paper in front of me - no doubt because I can type almost as fast as I think so I'm less likely to get writers cramp and as an added bonus I can actually read what I've written at a later date. And I'm never going to get it together enough to actually write a book, so this is an acceptable alternative

3) I'm having trouble thinking of a third reason. Because I can? I dunno, I guess in a way given my shyness it is a good method for connecting with people. I've met people I normally would never have (for whatever reason), and I've made a few good friends from the whole experience. I'm a comment whore too, so whenever you guys comment I get warm fuzzies. It's quite sad, really! And not matter how naff it may sound, bloggers are a little community in and of themselves so it's kinda cool to have this whole other group of people who I interact with outside of what many people would consider the "norm".

It has nothing to do with the fact I have no life. Whoever told you that is jealous of my brilliance.
